Now in its 26th year, Live Design International (LDI) has become the leading tradeshow and conference for live design professionals in North and South America.

Over 8,000 attendees working in theater, concerts, houses of worship, corporate presentations, clubs, theme parks, and any other live venue come to LDI from 72 countries to see the latest gear in action, refresh their knowledge, and replenish their creativity. More than 300 exhibiting companies provide attendees with live demos and the opportunity for face-to-face discussions about equipment including: lighting, sound, projection, special effects.

Interning at LDI 2013

College students! Volunteer for an exciting technical internship program at LDI 2013 in Las Vegas. Experience LDI from backstage, as part of the crew needed for the LDInstitute and professional training programs. Applicants need to be available Sunday, November 17 through Sunday, November 24. Shared hotel accommodations and per diem provided (travel on your own), plus free access to LDI's workshops and conference sessions. Applicants must be enrolled undergraduate or graduate students (or within 1 year of their awarded diploma). Please email a cover letter and resume to ldiconference@gmail.com. The Santa Fe Opera, one of the most prestigious summer opera festivals worldwide, has invited Live Design to go backstage for a special weekend at the opera, July 5-7, 2013. Santa Fe production director Paul Horpedahl will coordinate the technical side of the weekend, with lighting designers Rick Fisher and Duane Schuler among the esteemed guest designers and in-house technical staff to participate in panels and backstage tours.
